Sadly, the Assisi/Rome Study Abroad trip to Italy last summer was cancelled due to the covid pandemic.
It is rescheduled for the summer of 2022.

Assisi, Rome, Siena, and Perugia
Participating juniors and sophomores receive a half unit (open elective semester course) for this 8 day adventure. Seniors may also make the trip, but without the SFP credit.

There is also the opportunity to earn 1 to 3 credits through the

Many highlights of the trip focus on places and events in the life of St. Francis, especially the Church of San Damiano and San Damiano crucifix, Santa Chiara Basilica (with the body of St. Clare), San Francesco Basilica (with Francis' tomb), Cathedral of San Rufino, Mt. Subasio, the castle Rocca Maggiore, St. Mary of the Angels Basilica (with the Little Portion chapel inside), and an afternoon in the medieval city of Perugia.
In Siena, we will visit the Basilico of San Francesco, Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, Piazza del Campo with a climb to the top of Torre del Mangia, the Siena National Gallery, Church of San Domenico, and Santuario di Santa Caterina.
In Rome, we will visit St. Peter's, the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Villa Borghese Park, the Pantheon, and experience the famous Scavi tour.
