Our first novel is Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Please have a copy with you every day. 

D Period - June 4th 

Please read Act IV Scenes, 1,2 & 3 in Romeo and Juliet.  Please take notes while you read - highlight, underline and write in your margins!!! We will be going over all that you've read tomorrow!!

G & D Periods:

For Tuesday 5/7 - Please begin working on the following WEBQUEST on William Shakespeare.  


Click on the PROCESS tab and begin! You may use notability to record your responses.

We will be working on this for the next 2 days - so please take your time.


G Period - Please check Google Classroom daily for all assignments.

Over the break:

Your assignment over the break is to watch a movie and show how the movie fits into the Hero's Journey. You must fill out the chart in the handout that I provided as well as either a digital representation or a poster board. This is due Feb. 25th. No LATE assignments will be accepted. Please make sure you are ready to submit or hand in your project.  

There is a copy of the assignment on Google Classroom.

Over the break, please complete the novel Animal Farm (chpts 5-10).  I have uploaded a study guide for you to complete as you read.  This is due Thursday 1/3/19.  You will have a final test on the novel on FRIDAY 1/4/19.

11/13 - Begin chapter 4 in Of Mice and Men

11/14 - Finish Chapter 4 in Of Mice and Men

11/15 - UNIT 5 VOCABULARY IS NOW OPEN - You are to COMPLETE "Completing the Sentence & Choosing the Right Word" today IN CLASS. I will be checking this tonight!!! The rest are due and the quiz is on  day 7 -

                   1) How is the bunk house described? What does the description tell the reader about the men who live there? 

                   2) What do we find out about Curley, his wife, and his father through George's discussions with others. 

                   3) How would you describe Curley and his wife? What do their actions tell you about each of their characters? 

                   4) What is Lennie eagerly talking about toward the end of the chapter?
