Any athletes interested in track and field should be joining us in cross country unless you are already competing on another fall sport. Please check the cross country page for more information.
CONGRATULATIONS VARSITY BROOKLYN QUEENS CHAMPIONS!
On Saturday each one of you came out and performed at your best for the team. Many of you did events you don't normally do, and you showed the rest of the league what we are capable of as a team.
A select few seniors will be attending the Catholic State Championship on 5/29 but the rest of you can now begin a well deserved break. For the distance runners that means no running at all! Your bodies need a rest period.
For those of you returning to Prep next year we will have a team meeting to discuss summer training and our plans for the fall before classes end.
Special Congratulations to:
John Kim, our champion in both the 100 and 200.
Peter Athanailos, our champion in the Discus.
Charles Meghan, our champion in the 3200.
Robert Deck, our champion in the 300m SteepleChase.
The 4x1 team of Spiro Kaloudis, Nick Pandis, George Kammas, and Lucas Dibartolomeau for taking first place.
The 4x8 team of Brandon Donaldson, Charles Meghan, Jack Cote, and Matthew Vene for taking first place.
Rules for Track and Field
We practice five days a week after school until about 4:30/5 pm. Competitions are typically on Saturdays.
Coming to practice regularly is a requirement to be entered in each meet. There is a 10 practice minimum before you can go to your first meet.
We do have practice and competitions during the Easter break and you are expected to attend.
All members of the team must be in good academic standing in order to participate.
Track and field is the priority, if you are involved in clubs or outside teams they are secondary.
You may only participate in one school sport during the season.
All members must wear their uniform and either the track team jacket or sweater to every meet.
