Tri-M Music Honor Society is a high school music honor society that is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements and to provide leadership and service opportunities to young musicians. A program of the National Association for Music Education, Tri-M provides an opportunity for music students to be recognized for their talent and hard work while also channeling their Franciscan spirit through service to their school and community.

Criteria for membership candidacy for Tri-M Music Honor Society at SFP:

- Members must be juniors or seniors only (applicants must be current sophomores or juniors)
- participation in an upper-level music ensemble or class next school year
- a grade of 90 or better in music
- a grade of 80 or better overall

- a minimum of 10 music related service hours to be completed yearly once inducted
- completion of one of the following new-member assignments:
     - performance or a solo or ensemble piece at our annual induction ceremony
     - writing a 10-page research paper on a music topic of your choice
- continued character strength that includes demonstration of service, leadership, and
