CUNY Application Status Report

  • Please allow 4-6 weeks for the status of an application to change after a document has been sent to CUNY.
  • Students who applied early should expect to receive an admission decision from each college to which they have applied beginning February 15th.
  • Applicants to the Macaulay Honors College will be notified of their admission decision on March 15th.

Your students are responsible for tracking/checking the status of their own Admission Application. The CUNY Application Status webpage provides the most up-to-date information regarding their application. Visit www.cuny.edu/status for instructions.

You must complete the following steps:

1. Submit your freshman application before December 1

2. Opt in to the Priority Action Program before December 1 by clicking on the invitation link that will be emailed after submitting the application

3. Submit all transcripts and SAT/ACT scores to John Jay College or CUNY's University Application Processing Center (UAPC) prior to December 10
