On Friday, February 15th, St. Francis Prep and the SFP Student Government presented the Annual Talent Show in the Ralph Clifford Auditorium. The show was produced and directed by Ms. Donna Mejia and Mr. David Ganci. It was hosted by Joey Troina ’13, Darsheene Vital ’13, Steven Wasserfall ’13, Nia Rollins ’13, and Cheyenne Coco ’13, who was also a guest dance performer. The judges for the night were Amanda Franqvihna, Rob McGee, and Anthony Binodillo, alumni who are now active members of the Prep community.
At the Talent Show students got the chance to show off their rapping, singing, dancing and other skills in front of their families and peers. Although all of the performers did a fantastic job, there were a few "superstars" as Mr. Ganci put it, that the judges felt really blew the show away. The winners of the night were Jamal Richards ’14 for Best Rapper, Alexandra Michael ’14 for Best Singer, Jonathan Saunders ’13 and AJ Warrington ’12 for Best Dancers, and Roshan Mykoo ’13 and Edward Vega ’13 for Best Novelty, singing a melody of different tunes while playing ukuleles. Congratulations to all of the performers, the faculty members involved and to all of the students who put their hard work, time and effort into making this show a success.
